Since the dawn of time, a question has puzzled the world's greatest philosophers.

What does a one-hand clap sound like?

This question has been asked repeatedly over the centuries. Zen Buddhists spend hours thinking about the sound. Now, you can hear it for yourself.

Yes, I have uncovered the mystery around this seemingly impossibility. I can do the one-handed clap.

This is no trick, nor a joke. It is fact. My one regret is that I don't have anything to record a quicktime movie of it so that you can see it for yourself. It is quite a sight.

Here is the concept: A two-handed clap makes noise because the two hands strike each other. In order to make a one-handed clap, a way must be found for a hand to strike itself.

Listen as the fingers of my right hand strike my right palm in rapid succession. It is the sound of a hand striking itself. It is the sound of a one hand clap.

Now, listen as I use both hands, neither one striking the other, yet sounding one right after the other. It is the sound of two hands one-hand clapping simultaneously.
